I’ve been pretty curious about rhubarb for a couple of years but weirdly intimidated by it. It’s not an ingredient that either my mother or grandmother ever used when I was growing up.
I think it was a little gutsy making a “French Apple Tart” just three days after Alex returned from a month-long trip to France…. That would be Paris, France. I know. I know. I know.
I thought it would be nice to make jam with my mom again and she wanted to make plum jam with red or purple inside plums (she wanted Satsuma Plums). So we got going on that.
